Mangalore: It was a special Deepavali celebration for the children of Bhagini Samaj located at Jeppu Market, as Mangalore South MLA J R Lobo organized a unique deepavali celebration for the kids.
The MLA lit diyas and burst crackers with 42 children of the organisation. The party members and volunteers also distributed sweets and fruits to the children.
Speaking on the occasion J R Lobo said “Being the festival of lights, the celebration should brighten up our lives. When the entire city is celebrating Deepavali with their families, our party volunteers decided to celebrate the festival with these kids who are special to us. These children should not be deprived from joy and happiness of life. Let the festival bring harmony and unity in the society.”
The Treasurer of Bhagini Samaj Vanamala Bhat, Deputy Mayor Kavita, Corporator Rathikala, Shailaja and others were present.
