Mangalore, Oct 25, 2014: MLA J R Lobo celebrated Deepavali with the inmates of Bagini Samaj, located near Jeppu Market, here on Friday October 24.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Lobo said that it was being done to share the joys of Deepavali among the inmates who should not feel they are being left out because of their circumstances. It was a small attempt by Congress to bring joy to the inmates, said MLA Lobo.
MLA Lobo also distributed rice to poor families at their doorsteps.
The deputy mayor Kavita Vasu, corporators Ratikala and Shailaja, Congress party leaders Mohammed Badruddin, Suresh Shetty, Vishwas Das, T K Sudhir, Sadashiv Amin, Ramanand Poojary, Tejasviraj, Namita Rao, Denis D’Silva, Durgaprasad, Benet D’Mello, Sunil Shetty, Mohammed Hussein, Sandeep Bolar, Shafi Ahmed, Uday Bolar and others were present.
