Mangaluru: MLA J R Lobo visited the Bharati Shipyard and inspected the activities at Tannirbhavi here, on August 24.
Lobo also met the staff, officers and the members of the administrative board and listened to their grievances.
The Bharati Shipyard is facing huge loses and it is the need of the hour to retain the company. Hundreds of people are working here and their families are depending on them.
Lobo assured to write a letter to the Minister for Karnataka Industries R V Deshpande and brief about the current problem faced by the employees of the Bharati shipyard. He also said that he will personally meet the minister and request him to visit the shipyard. He assured to take all the measures to retain Bharati shipyard.
