Mangaluru: A new market will be built at Urva market area at Rs 12 crore and existing market will be shifted to a temporary location on January 14 till the works to be completed to face lift the existing market area, said MLA JR Lobo while visiting the temporary market on Thursday.

Speaking to the reporters he said, the construction works of the new market will be completed within December 2017 and existing vendors should move themselves to the temporary market location as construction works are scheduled to start from January 14. The major objective of the new plan is to build a new market area to felicitate the public. Therefore the public and the present vendors should cooperate with the plan, MLA asked. KSRTC Director TK Sudheer, Corporator Radhakrishna, Contractor Asif, MUDA President Suresh Ballal and others were present on the occasion.
