Mangalore, Aug 10 : Bearys Cultural Forum (BCF), UAE hosted an educational scholarship meet and career guidance symposium at Loyola Hall, St Aloysius P.U. College, in the city on Sunday.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme State Health Minister U T Khader highlighted the responsibility of parents making their children good citizens. He also stressed on the importance of education in rural area.
Appreciating the efforts of BCF in helping the needy and poor in all possible ways, Mr Khader said that BCF members’ contribution to the society commendable. He called upon the students to make use of the opportunity to enhance the knowledge.
He also said that state government is contemplating to provide accident health insurance. “Government is planning to provide up to Rs 25,000 to accident victims under health insurance scheme. Free treatment scheme will be available for government employees. Government is also planning to bring BPL and APL bearys_educational_scholarship_
MLA J R Lobo said that providing the scholarship to the students would help in choosing the career.

K S Atakoya Thangal, Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim, former education minister B A Moideen, Dr Prof Kaup Mohammed, Ibrahim Maulvi, Rafeeq Krishnapura, Abdul Ghafoor, Mohammed Beary, minority commission director Mohammed Saleem and others were present.
