MANGALORE: Bishop of Mangalore Most Rev Aloysius Paul D’Souza held a meeting with chief minister Siddaramaiah in Bangalore on Wednesday to discuss about the development and helping the minorities in Mangalore.
The Bishop requested help to poor kids for their educational needs and various other issues, and to provide more facilities to the minorities through the Christian Development Board and other schemes of the government.
He also requested the CM to provide help in building a shrine of Pope John Paul II in Bajpe, Mangalore.
This year will also mark the crowning of Pope John Paul II as Saint, the Bishop informed Siddaramaiah.
Mangalore City North MLA J R Lobo, minister for forest, environment and ecology and DK district in-charge B Ramanath Rai, Fr William, Walter Monteiro, Pius Pinto, Fr Leo D’Souza and others honoured the CM on this occasion.
