Mangaluru, April 14: MLA JR Lobo inspected the developmental works at Pilikula Nisarga Dhama on Monday, April 13th. He was accompanied by the Executive Director Prabhakar Sharma, MUDA Commissioner Mohammed Nazir, and other officials at Pilikula Nisarga Dhama.
Speaking to the reporters, Lobo Said, the first phase works at the entrance which are undertaken at a cost of Rs 1.25 crores released by the Tourism Destination Development Project will get over by October end.
The entrance will comprise of ticket counter, Locker room, rest room, and other facilities. Close by, a parking slot which can accommodate 400 vehicles will also be constructed. Stretch from entrance through the zoo till the administrative office will be developed, foot path for the pedestrians will be constructed and plants will be grown.
Pond Development:
Artificial pond will be constructed in the empty land in front of the zoo. The pond will be developed by the Mangaluru City Corporation at a cost of Rs 0.30 lakhs. Plants will be grown around the pond to add beauty, he informed
3-D Planetarium:
JR obo inspected the works of 3-D Planetarium said, sixty percent of the works are completed. Tender will be invited for science materials. The works may get over in a year, he said.
