Mangalore: The congress candidate from Mangalore South Legislative constituency visited Kudroli temple to seek blessings from God/Goddess before filing his nomination in City corporation, here on April 15.

The religious heads in the temple performed the Puja in the name of J R Lobo. Later supporters of J R Lobo and congress workers gathered at the Kudroli Grounds.

Addressing the gathering MLA U T Khader said that, in the 5 years of BJP rule they have misused their power. People of Karnataka, especially the people of the Dakshina Kannada district need a change in the government. People want Congress to come to power to lead a peaceful and respectful life. People of the state cannot forget the corruption of BJP and the CD of Raghupati Bhat. If we want to lead a peaceful life then we need to vote for J R Lobo and to fly the congress flag high in the district as well as in the state.

J R Lobo speaking on the occasion said, “Today I am filing my nomination to the Mangalore South legislative constituency as a candidate. Now people want to live with peace and harmony which only the congress can provide.

Further he said, “I have been appointed as the convener of the Election Committee for 8 Assembly Constituencies in Mangalore district. When I was refused the ticket, President of the DCC Ramanath Rai recommended me for a suitable post in the party.
