Mangalore, 24 Dec 2013 : Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo delivered his Christmas wishes and briefed on the developmental works, at Kalaangann, Makale here on Monday December 23.
Udayavani – Kannada daily journalist Keshav Kundar cut the Christmas cake along with Roy Castelino, managing partner of Roy Constructions and Elias Fernandes, proprietor of Four Winds Advertising Agency.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Lobo briefed on the development works that are underway and proposed in Mangalore south legislative assembly constituency.
The state funds were approved for various developmental works: Rs 43 lac has been sanctioned for the Malnad Development Board. State Finance Corporation (SFC) has allotted Rs 9.26 crore for general developments under the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC), Rs 2 crore for the MLA Fund, Natural Disaster Management to get Rs 50 lac, small scale water supply scheme to get Rs 5 crore, the third project of Rs 100 crore, temple development to get Rs 45 lac, Rs 50 lacs for SC/ST Development, Rs 72 crore for Port and Fisheries development, Rs 386.79 lac for the 2013-14 general fund, Rs 7.50 crore for Court Road development etc.
MLA Lobo also conveyed his Christmas and New Year greetings to the people of the constituency who have been the prime reason for all the success and developments.
MLA Lobo thanked media persons for attending the get-together and for transparency in reporting.
