Mangalore, Oct 8: The groundbreaking ceremony for the concreting of interior roads in Kuntalgudda, Bajal was held near Kavu Sri Panchalingeshwara Temple here on Tuesday October 8.
The work was initiated by Mangalore South MLA J R Lobo with the traditional breaking of the coconut.
Formal inaugural function was also organized on this occasion. J R Lobo was the chief guest and T Praveenchandra Alva, corporator for ward no 49, presided over the programme.
The total estimated cost of the project is Rs 25 lac.
In his keynote address, Praveenchandra Alva promised the locals that he would respond to their problems at all times.
In his address, Lobo said, “Even though this area falls under Mangalore city corporation limits, yet it feels like a rural region. Hence the area needs a lot of attention and development. We will also focus on the improvization of basic necessities for such areas.”
