Mangalore:When we celebrated our Diwali with our family bursting crackers, savouring sweets, MLA J R Lobo celebrated it by laying the foundation for the development of roads. The cost of the entire project is said to be around Rs 2.31 crore.
The Mangalore City Corporation has listed Jeppinamaguru, Kodialbail, Shaktinagar, Attavar, Maroli, Alape and many more areas under this project.
The Mangalore City corporation has granted 40 lakh for development of Jeppinamaguru area, 25 lakh for Megina Road atShaktinagar, 76 lakh for Viveknagar, Kodialbail, 25 lakh for Babugadde area, Attavar ward and Rs 40 lakh for kannagudderoad, Alape Ward.
Speaking on the occasion, Lobo said, “I wish everyone a happy Diwali. On this occasion, we begin our Diwali celebrations by laying the foundation for the development of roads in the city. Everyday our city roads are getting damaged. In the coming days we are taking up more such projects for the development of roads. If the urban areas are developed then we shift to urban areas as well.”
Mangalore Mayor Mahabala Marla, Member of city corporation Prakash Salian, K Zubeda, Shailaja, Keshav Maroli, BPrakash, Ward President Devappa Suvarna, Gangadhar Poojary, Jayanth Poojary, Congress leaders Taranath Shetty, AbdulAzeez, T K Sudeer, Dennis D’Silva, Ramanand Poojary, Krithin Kumar, Jayakar Samarth and others were present.
