In this context students of Masters of Business Administration of Sahyadri, had started Sahyadri premier League (SPL). SPL is real Time Company and functions like a registered corporate organization owned and managed by students of MBA. All the students of MBA are the shareholders of the company and elect board of Directors of SPL ” said chairman and CEO Manish Gatty of SPL during the press meet held at Masngalore Press Club.has been elected as chairman and Mr. Boris Fernades as CE0 of SPL.
He further said, “SPL will function like IPL which is the biggest marketing success stories in the present day business world. SPL provides (1) Excellent opportunity for students to develop business acumen among the students (2) Helps to understand application management theory into practice (3.) Develop entrepreneurial talent among the students during the course of study”
The main objective of SPL is to tap the interest of the youth in cricket. SPL Will be organizing intercollegiate cricket tournament for UG students in Karnataka during March 13-16, 2014 at Sahyadri campus. Cricket matches are conducted on a knock out basis for 32 under graduate college teams. The matches would be 10 over per side. Only teams from UG Colleges in Karnataka are eligible to participate in the tournament. Winners will get SPL Trophy and cash prize of Rs 25,000. The program will be inaugurated by Moideen Bava honorable Member of Legislative of Mangalore north constituency. MLA J R Lobo will distribute prizes during the valedictory function on 16 March, 2014.
