Mangaluru, 03 Apr 2015: On this auspicious day of Good Friday, Catholic Sabha of Cordel (Kulshekar) parish visited Lady Goshen Hospital and distributed fruits to the inpatients here on April 3 morning.
MLA J R Lobo distributed fruits and spoke on this occasion. He said, ‘We Catholics from past 40 days have been praying, fasting and sacrificing. Today is a special day because Jesus Christ died for us and it is appreciable that Catholic Sabha and ICYM are visiting and serving the people on this day. All the religions have good preaching but implementation of such preaching will give satisfaction to the person and will benefit the society.’
Mayor Jacinta Alfred said, ‘Jesus Christ sacrificed his life and died on the cross for the salvation of mankind. This programme is very meaningful and has set an example for others. I wish they come up with more programmes like this.’
Catholic Sabha founder president and Syndicate member M P Noronha, hospital superintendent Shakunthala, tutor Pricilla, Catholic Sabha president Edna Noronha, secretary Shantha D’Souza, Leo Mascharehas, Alban Pinto, Denis Fernandes, ICYM Cordel unit president Jeethesh Lasrado, secretary Ancita D’Souza, convener Sushil Noronha and other Catholic Sabha and ICYM members were present.
