Mangaluru: MLA J R Lobo held a condolence meet for the departed soul of the most cherished former President and Bharat Ratna Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at the Balmatta Government College here on July 28.
More than thousand students from various colleges gathered at the Balmatta College to take part in the condolence meet for the departed soul of Dr Abdul Kalam.
MLA Lobo speaking on the occasion said that Abdul Kalam is a role model to all the youth. Lobo Recalling the speech of Dr Kalam said, “Education gives us the wings to fly and these wings helps us to attain knowledge. We are in the modern era where technology has reached new heights and to build the nation there should be effective use of technology. Technology is discovered by creative minds, more the creative ideas, every sector of the economy will flourish”. Lobo urged the college authorities to hold special classes for students to know more about the journey of Dr Abdul Kalam.
