Mangalore: The 45 day long National Consumer Fair (NCF) exhibition began on Saturday, September 6 at Karavali Utsav Grounds in Mangalore.
B Ramanatha Rai, minister for forests, ecology and environment and district in-charge minister inaugurated the fair.
Addressing the gathering he stated “National Consumer Fair every year has brought people across the region to Mangalore. I wish all the success to the organiser. May this fair gain all success and may people enjoy the fair”.
Abhayachandra Jain, minister for youth affairs and the fisherie, J.R Lobo, MLA of Mangalore South constituency, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Mahabala Marla, mayor, Kavitha Salian, deputy mayor, Gautham Agarwal, director of NCF, Cine star Ester Noronha were also present on the occasion.
The exhibition comprising more than 200 stalls and 25 amusement rides will display home appliances, health and fitness equipment, furniture, designer sofa sets, handlooms, handicrafts, dress materials, footwear, books, toys, gifts, stationary and food products.
The expo also has an amusement section with artificial boating lake, break dance, dragon train, Italian tora-tora, jumping frog, dashing car, aeroplane, titanic, horse merry-go-grounds, fish merry-go-grounds and many more.
