Mangaluru, September 5: In a unique manner to celebrate the fest “Krishna Janmashtami”, free rice distribution to as many as 700 people was organized by Kadri cricketers club, Ganesh Shirva Dubai along with Mangalore SEZ limited; at Mallikatte play ground here on Friday, September 4th.
MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik addressed the gathered and said, by distributing rice to the poor and needy is the best way to celebrate the festival. Poverty still exists although the government has provided many schemes for the poor. He congratulated the Kadri Cricketers Club for organizing this programme.
MLA J R Lobo speaking on this occasion said, for the betterment of society, Lord Krishna descended on the earth. The real way of celebrating feast is by sharing with the poor. The way in which the festival is being celebrated by Kadri Cricketers Club is an example for us. He congratulated the whole team and the donors of Kadri cricketers Club.
Siraj Ahmed, managing director of Inland builders said, the festivals such as Krishna Janmashtami, Deepavali and other feasts bring joy and happiness to all communities. He congratulated all the organizers for organizing this meaningful programme.
5 kg rice each were distributed to 700 needy people on this occasion.
Former Mayor Mahabala Maarla, Ramachandra Bhandarkar, Sunil Achaar, Ratnakar Jain, Dinesh Devadiga, , corporators Shashidar Hegde, Ashok D K, Sudhir Shetty were present among others on this occasion.
