Mangaluru, Aug 20, 2015: MLA J R Lobo reviewed SSLC results of the year 2014-15, in the presence of the Block Education Officers and Headmasters of 100 schools. He said that as per the statistics, government, aided and unaided schools had secured a result of 81 pc, 86 pc and 91 p.c results, respectively.
On the occasion, MLA Lobo said that Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts were known for their educational excellence. He lauded the efforts of teachers, who were responsible for taking the DK district to 8th place, from previous 29th place, in the SSLC results. Good results have also been secured in PU examinations and the preparations towards getting better results in the next SSLC exams must be done from now, the legislator added.
Last time 88 pc of students had passed in the SSLC and this time, the results should reach 95 pc, Lobo said and directed teachers to focus on value-based education. Block education officer Jnanesh and others were present on the occasion.
